As per your request, Dear Eric.

I love coupons.  I love to save money and I love to surf the net and I love to shop.  So if I can combine all three of them, it makes to be one of the greatest loves of my life.  You know, other than Chris and Andrew.  It goes Andrew, then Chris, then coupons.  Haha! 

I've decided (at the request of my dear friend, Eric) to share my wisdom (albeit small) with you.  I haven't been couponing for long, but I've been reading up on it (and watching Extreme Couponing on TLC), so I have a tip or two.

My first tip is this:  When you have a coupon, if you don't NEED the product right away, wait for it to go on sale!  Two of my most recent purchases include a box of Kellogg's Fiber Plus cereal for $0.97 and a tube of Crest Just for Me (kids) toothpaste for $0.79! 

My second tip:  Don't use the coupon if you're not going to use the product.  What the hell is the sense of wasting your money and your time if you don't intend to use it?  Save that money and buy something else.  Or save that money and buy nothing and watch the interest pile up in your saving account!  This can amount to cents a year, if you play your cards right (hahah....)

One of my favorite sites, and most regularily checked, is http://www.smartcanucks.ca/.  I go on here sometimes three times a day!  They post links to different pages on Facebook that you can "like" and get coupons for free or incredibly cheap stuff.  I got a coupon for free crackers, free Mr. Big, $2 off Smart Bread, and a pack of gum for $0.10, just to name a few.  It also has links to sites that are having sales, as well as a database of all the coupons available online, whether printable or mailed.  One of my favorite things is a list they do weekly called Canadian Coupons To Go With Weekly Flyer Match Ups.  It's updated every week, and always on the main page.

They always have some coupons, though they really, REALLY suck lately.

They get REALLY good coupons, for stuff that we like (like Orville popcorn!) but they go out of stock quick, so you have to check often.

Check on August 12! They are going to have up to $138 in coupons that day! And they go really, really quickly! So I hope you check your messages before then, and get on it!
