It has been a couple days since my last blog. A lot has been going on, and truthfully, I'm ready to just quit everything right now. Quit everything, and stay in my bedroom, and never ever come out. Not for anything. Unless it was for Andrew. Then I would do what I need to do, and go back in my bedroom. Not that I could ever do it, I'm just saying, I'm ready to do it. I wish it were simple enough to just say "I quit" and walk away from life. But it's not.
I would like to go on a mini rant about The Internet. Yes. I am on the internet, and if it weren't for the internet, our lives wouldn't be as "simple" as they are now. Communication would be a lot more difficult and time consuming, but let's just put this in MY perspective: I am a lover on all things computer-related. I love games, I love designing, I love (yes) the Internet. I love how you can keep in touch with someone over social-networking sites without having to spend ridiculous amounts of money on a phone call, bus ticket, or gas. It really is amazing! But then you look at things like porn. And Kijiji. Yes, they should not be put in the same category, but for time's sake, I will.
Pornography: "creative activity (writing or pictures or films etc.) of no literary or artistic value other than to stimulate sexual desire."
This "stimulation of sexual desire" ruins peoples LIVES. (Haha, I almost types livers. It looked funny.) Children, women, men, people who are forced to do it! And people sit on their computers, on the internet, and they get addicted to it! And people look at child pornography, and they get out of it with a slap on the fucking wrist! Oh, I'm sorry, you need to be put into the DNA Database? Oh, my bad, I guess that's more than a slap on the write. Fuck you, it's not! People who look at underage pornography, whether it be two pages, or a million, should be sent to jail for LIFE. Just like a rapist or a molester. It should all be the exact same sentence. Life in jail. And not this Canada Justice System "25 years is life" crap. Actual life. Like America. I know a person who is the victim of both child molestation and rape, and neither of those men got fuck all. Well, I'm sure they are paying for it in their every day lives. But are they in jail? No!
Alright well, enough of the depressing crap. I can go on and on and on about it for hours, and it's not going to change a god-damn thing.
Kijiji (pronounced key-jee-jee): "Swahili for village. Kijiji is a centralized network of online urban communities for posting local online."
Ah, Kijiji. Oh, how I both loathe and love you at the exact same time. You can find anything you need on there. The only problem: Is it real or fake? (I personally think Kijiji is great, and they try to do everything they can to ward off the fake ads, so this rant is nothing against Kijiji, it's just an opinion). Am I REALLY going to a job interview, or is it just a marketing gimmick, or one of those companies that you have to PAY to have a career with them and MAYBE you will make money eventually? Does that car really work, or am I going to get it and the head gasket goes three days later? I have not succeeded in getting anything of Kijiji. Except my son's Buzz Lightyear. Everything else-CRAP. I've had job interviews, bought cars, and nothing has lasted. And NOW, the problem with Kijiji, is it's getting to be a place where people are posting ads about "Don't hire such and such, he'll do a bad job". It's becoming GOSSIP. OK, people, Kijiji is a community for people wanting to get rid of something or gain something, not LOSE things, like reputations or possible job leads. However, Kijiji is also amazing! Apartments for rent! Clothes to buy! Toys for sale! It's like an online garage sale, only you don't have to waste your time walking around the entire city looking for shit.
Well, that's all for now. Come back another day. I'm sure I will have more boring crap to talk about another day.
